Experience APEX at Boeing Booth 1337

APEX is a full spectrum mission training environment, developed by Boeing in collaboration with Intrinsic and PLEXSYS, to support operators throughout the continuum of training. It is an affordable, deployable, high-fidelity integrated air warfare training system optimized for a deployable training environment. The APEX training system recently completed successful evaluation aboard two U.S. Navy ships deployed in support of Commander, U.S. 7th Fleet in the INDOPACOM area of responsibility, and is currently undergoing proof of concept testing and evaluation at Afloat Training Group Pacific.

APEX enables compact, persistent, deployable, integrated multi-platform team training directly at the point of need. It is a scalable software solution that leverages the entire PLEXSYS ecosystem of Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) training readiness solutions including our Advanced Simulation Combat Operations Trainer (ASCOT) 7 high-fidelity environment generator, our Sonomarc communications and audio distribution software, and our Video, Audio, and Data for After Action Review (VADAAR) 2 software.

The APEX system provides an immersive simulation background across single or multiple sites. The modern, intuitive user interface simplifies developing complex scenarios with dynamic entity creation, management, and comprehensive data link capabilities. Derived from “A Personal Experience” APEX allows the user to fill the gap by creating their own training environment and is designed to provide centralized training event planning, simulation control and orchestration, scenario and content management anytime, anywhere, globally.

Featured Technologies:

• Advanced Simulation Combat Operations Trainer (ASCOT): ASCOT is a real-time interactive simulation tool that easily manages the entire battlespace from single-ship Close Air Support (CAS) missions to multi-axis, multi-ship Large Force Exercises and Special Operations. Multiple systems can be networked together at a single site, or at multiple sites around the world for dynamic large-scale joint and coalition exercises.
• Sonomarc:  This client-server communication system provides modern, automated, and flexible communication capabilities and audio distribution. It enables standards-compliant connections to standard simulation protocols such as DIS and HLA.
• Video, Audio, and Data for After-Action Review (VADAAR) 2: VADAAR 2 provides a local and distributed, multi-participant after-action review capability, all accomplished within a light and upgradeable software framework that uses your existing computer network, eliminating the need for additional hardware. It allows you to record, review, and stream video, audio, and data locally or anywhere in the world from any device.
